Overview of wallets for storing Chia and CATs tokens

Recently, many users are interested in where they can safely store the stuffed, purchased Chia. Such fears are not in vain, as we can see the trend that trust in centralized exchanges is disappearing. All this led to the bankruptcy of several large projects, exchanges all began to look in the direction of DEX exchanges. Chia is in a leading position in this regard, thanks to the `Offers` system, where everyone can exchange XCH or CATs token for USD, buy or sell NFT. Without any doubt, the official client is in the first place in terms of trust.  Personally, I keep the coins there.  I created a wallet, recorded a seed phrase, and deposited tokens. I will not focus much attention on it, quite a few articles have already been written.

But there is one significant drawback! If you constantly use a wallet, then this option will not be very convenient because of the missing application for mobile platforms. But the community is developing and this issue has not been ignored.

Advantages of the Chia wallet:

• Constant updates from the Chia Network team
• The ability to create Offers for the purchase/sale of any assets, including Cat’S tokens.
• Creating an NFT on Chia
• Creating rafts for mining
• The light version of the wallet (The version that does not require long synchronization with the wallet)
• Russian language support
• A dark interface is available

Disadvantages of Chia wallet:

• Lack of a mobile app for Android and iOS platforms.

Mobile Chia wallet Nucleus `The project is Dead`

The Nucleus team is one of the first who started the development of the mobile DeFi wallet Chia.  At first, the release took place for the platform on the Android version. After a while, an application for downloading from the APP Store became available for Apple owners.  At the same time publishing a WEB version of the wallet for Chia. The development is fully open, and anyone can download the wallet, it is available as an application in Google Chrome. There is not much to say, I have already written about him earlier.

Goby —WEB3 wallet for Chia

This is by right the first WEB3 wallet for Chia.  In it, you can send and receive Chia coins, CATs tokens.  Interact with sites directly, buy or sell tokens through DEX exchanges. All you need is for the site to support the Goby wallet. Goby is a direct analogue of the MeataMask wallet only for Chia. I had an article where I described the interaction of the wallet Goby on the Dexie.space exchange, who is interested can read.

But it was not without a drop of tar. Unfortunately, Goby does not support mobile platforms, but is available as an extension for Chrome, Brave browsers.

It is also worth noting the difference with the official Chia wallet. The Chia wallet uses a `multi-address wallet`, many wallet addresses (different numbers of tokens may lie at different Chia addresses), while Goby can only work with 1 Chia address, so when you import a seed phrase from the Chia wallet, you are offered to choose which wallet address you will work with. Work on a `multi-address wallet` of several addresses is underway.

The most important thing is that the developers do not recommend importing the addresses of third-party wallets, but creating a new wallet and already transferring the assets you need to it for subsequent work with them. I would also not recommend storing all your funds on a `hot wallet`, with a seed phrase under the pillow calmer))).
